Jeff Garver has over 25 years experience working in Silicon Valley, with over 20 years as a lawyer.
Early in his career Jeff was a software programmer and software product manager, and later an independent software consultant. After going back to law school and becoming licensed as an attorney, Jeff worked at the Silicon Valley law firm Fenwick & West. Jeff then joined Claris Corporation (Apple’s software subsidiary) where he was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary.
Jeff first opened his private practice after Claris, when he represented clients including Netscape Communications Corporation, Excite@Home, Trend Micro, Inc. and Artisan Components, Inc. Jeff later joined the wireless company ArrayComm, Inc. (adaptive antenna array technology) first as General Counsel and then as Vice President of Business Development.
Following ArrayComm, Jeff reopened his private practice and has represented companies including Google, Inc. (pre and post-IPO), Oxford Semiconductor, Inc., Pillar Data Systems, Inc., SonicWALL, Inc. and other companies.
Jeff also worked for a short period of time as an investment banker both as a principal of his own firm and with a software boutique in San Francisco.
Jeff received his JD from the Santa Clara University School of Law where he graduated magna cum laude, and received his B.A. from The University of Chicago. Jeff is a member of the California State Bar.
